It’s set in an old Muslim kingdom and tells the story of King Abdullah, who has urgent business outside the kingdom and who must leave one of his two sons in charge. To help him decide whether Rahim or Wali will better shoulder the responsibility, he assigns them a tricky task. Which of them will succeed?

The author, also known as Sindy Jungle and who writes under a pseudonym, says the book is based on a story her father told her when she was a child. “I loved listening to his stories as a child and still do, and I wanted to share it with others.”

Rahim, Wali, and the Wise King is a story about slowing down and reflecting. “It’s a story that teaches us to be humble and kind, to think out of the box and take pleasure and be grateful in things that Allah has blessed us with," Sindy says. "No amount of money can ever be equivalent to the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon every one of us.”

Sindy, who also penned The Enormous Apple, loves to tell stories set in old times. Her love for this setting stems from the stories her parents told about their childhoods. “I am drawn to the simplicity of the lifestyle in those times, which today I feel we are lacking.”
