Manuscript Submission Guidelines

To ensure your manuscript is considered, please review the following guidelines:

• We focus on publishing fiction and nonfiction books for Muslim children like advanced picture books (650-850 words) and chapter books (7,000-10,000 words). Manuscripts that do not meet these word count requirements will not be reviewed.
  

• All stories must feature Muslim protagonists. We encourage diversity and welcome stories about characters from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
  

• We accept manuscripts from Muslim authors worldwide. However, your submission must be original and unpublished (in print or online).
  

• If submitting multiple stories, please send them in a single Word document. Limit your submission to three stories at a time.
  

• We are committed to publishing fiction and nonfiction books for Muslim children that resonate with both Muslim and non-Muslim audiences. However, we are especially committed to addressing the needs of the underserved Muslim community.
  

• We are interested in exciting stories where Muslim children are doing cool things. Make sure your manuscript includes compelling conflicts or challenges for the character to resolve.
  

• While we appreciate Islamic themes, we prefer to avoid overly instructive content filled with too many Arabic or Islamic terms.
  

• We do not accept manuscripts that have already been storyboarded or include illustrations.
